SVSC Trailer: I need Subtitles but otherwise Beautiful Trailer

The Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC)Theatrical Trailer was finally released on December 16th, 2012 and of course I loved it, I love every sing trailer, song, picture that was released for this film. However, my biggest pet peeve about the trailer was the fact that it catered only for Mahesh's Telugu Fans and that is quite unfair because he has fans all around the world who rely on subtitles to help them understand what's going on and it is my opinion that the trailers should have subtitles as well. I understood what was being said, since my Twitter peeps translated for me but it would have been nice to have subtitles on the actual video.Don't get me wrong, I love the language but those responsible for the trailers have to understand that he is the Superstar & he has fans who do not speak Telugu but want to enjoy the trailers as well. But besides that, the trailer showed me that us fans are in for a treat come January 11th, 2013! It will be the big bang that starts off 2013! I am absolutely in love with the Mahesh/Samantha duo, they rock on screen! Their on-screen chemistry can fool an outsider into thinking they really are a couple! The family shots of Mahesh/Venky with other key characters left me feeling sentimental and dying to see the movie. Here's the trailer:

Dedicated to the Mahesh Babu Fans

It may seem weird that a girl that speaks only English can fall so deeply in love with a Telugu Superstar but she did and more an more each day she admires not only who he is as an actor but who he is as a person. Superstar Mahesh is not the only person I admire, I admire his loyal fans, the ones who will do anything for him but they also learn from his actions. They, like our Hero, respects other actors in any industry and most of them, especially I'm PROUD to say, the Admins of his major Fan pages don't try to compare our Superstar to others because we know in our hearts and on the Big screen that there can never be a comparison because he is one of a kind, A very RARE BRAND! Mahesh Babu Fans, the majority of them or shall I say the True Fans, support other actors in their endeavors just like the Prince would, and we always take the time to wish others in the Industry on the important occasions in their lives. My only hope is that more of his fans can lead by the examples set by Prince Mahesh. Prince Mahesh is a completely down-to-earth man who never lets success get to his head and he appreciates his colleagues in the industry. Be like Prince Mahesh, Be a Humble Human Being!

Why SVSC will be #1!

So I haven't posted a thing since August 9th hence I have a lot of catching up to do!! First things first: I am super duper-dying from the anticipation-excited for the release of Seethama Vakitlo Sirimalle Cheetu!I was so disappointed when the release date was moved from September 28th to December 21st but the excitement never faded.I am even more disappointed now that the movie's release date has been moved to January but the circumstances are completely understandable so I will try to contain my excitement until 2013. I guess since Superstar Mahesh started off 2012 with a bang with "BUSINESSMAN", he damn well deserves to usher in the new year with another massive hit. I have been seeing all these questions on Facebook asking which Sankranti release will come out on top and the answer is four simple letters: S-V-S-C! and here is why the movie will definitely succeed at the box-office.

*Reason 1: It is the first multistarrer in TFI after a long, long time.

*Reason 2:It stars SUPERSTAR MAHESH!!! Mahesh Babu is one of the most well known Telugu actor in the industry, and not because he meddled in Bollywood but because he's damn good at what he does. He doesn't need to affiliate himself with another industry to get coverage, his work speaks volume on the kind of actor he is: a born-to-act one! He has very, and I mean very, loyal fans; there is no way or no force on earth that can stop a Die Hard Mahesh Fan from reaching the movie theater and watching this film.

*Reason 3: Victory Venkatesh is the other big star in this movie and he also is a well established actor in TFI with a large fan base as well.He is a wonderful actor, I have watched a few of his movies an cannot wait to see him embrace his role as the responsible big brother!

The list of reasons can go on and on but in the end: Superstar + Victory = SUPERVICTORIUS Hit at the box-office and in our hearts as well!

Secondly: Mahesh in the Mahindra Ads!! Oh la la!

Here's a reminder ;)

Happy Birthday to the SUPERSTAR!

So it's my first year celebrating Prince Mahesh's birthday & I hope he knows what amazing fans he has! My facebook wall and twitter feed were packed with "Happy Birthday" wishes to the Prince as the clocks in India struck 12. My twitter tweeples, especially @nani4u143 kept building my anxiety by doing a countdown to Mahesh's birthday :) Thank you @nani4u143!!

Happy Birthday wishes are extended to a wonderful actor and an even more awesome and humble human being. August 9th has become more than just another day for me, it is now the day that my role model and favorite actor was born. It will always be a blessed day in my life. Mahesh Babu, I found out about you via YouTube where I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to watch one of your movies, what I saw in that young man in Sainikudu was (and still is) a brilliant actor with the natural ability to act! Your smile, of course is as it says in Dethadi, Dethadi, "Nee smile ae Khallas". As I continue to learn more about you, I realized that you are a rare human being, you are a Superstar, & your fans will do anything for you but yet you manage to remain a humble and completely down to earth person. I read interviews about you, that were given by directors and co-stars and it never ceases to amaze me how sincere and kind you are to everyone around you. Not many actors these days take the opportunity to thank all those who helped them in their journey to success but in every one of your speeches relating to your movies you always took the time and effort to thank everyone who helped. I hope that I can be as humble a person as you are and always remember to thank those people in my life who are always there for me. I also love the fact that you cannot be classified as a cliche actor, you try out different films and take risks & that I completely admire about you. Happy Birthday Superstar Prince Mahesh, I hope you have an amazing day with your beautiful family. May you be blessed with many more birthdays in the future.

Ohh by the way, if you ever read this I have one question(hope it makes you laugh): Where did you find the fountain of youth?!! I recently saw the SVSC Posters and you look so much younger! Keep on Rocking Prince!

SVSC Firstlook Posters takes your Breath away!

So I stayed up until 3AM because BA Raju tweeted that the very first SVSC posters were going to be revealed in a few minutes and the wait was worth it! I love them all because each, in my opinion, shows us a different side of Mahesh's character in the movie. The first one shows the strong and affectionate bond between the brothers, the unbreakable bond. I have a feeling that Mahesh's role as a brother is going to proclaim him, once again, as the greatest actor of this generation. A picture is said to speak a million words & the SVSC posters spoke volumes of the quality of film we can expect when the movie is released.

~Venky & Mahesh~

The second one, although I suspect it's a part of a song shot, shows the more aggressive and determined side of Mahesh's character. It seems that Mahesh will most likely play the brother who will do anything for his family!

~Aggressive Mahi or just Caught in the Moment Mahi? You decide~

I saved the best for last! My favorite poster is the one which shows Mahesh's character as a carefree person who knows how to loosen up and have fun. He looks so serene and genuinely happy in this poster.

~Happy Mahi~

The tagline: SIMPLE BUT BEAUTIFUL is beyond perfect for this movie! The posters and the trailer showed us that we can expect a movie that is simple but will have a magnanimous effect on its viewers! So basically I am dying to see this movie & simply cannot wait for it to be released!! If it's being released in the US with English subtitles you can bet that I'll be there for the very first showing!

Mahesh Babu: The TRUE SUPERSTAR

I haven't written a post in a while and I have been seeing videos & reading articles about Prince Mahesh's speech at the various awards ceremony where he, no surprise there, collected the Best Actor Award, & the main thing that always mesmerizes me about his speeches(besides his voice! I am in love with his accent!) is the fact that he never fully takes credit for the award, he always take the initiative to thank the cast & crew associated with the production of the film. Everyone, or atleast the majority, seems to think that being The SUPERSTAR in TFI or any industry is just about receiving awards and delivering hits but I think it takes more than that to be a superstar. Being the SUPERSTAR means being a humble person and a naturally talented actor but also appreciating the support of your fans as well as the support of all those who helped you along the road to success. It means being the ideal role-model and I can't think of anyone more fitting to bear the title of SUPERSTAR other than Prince MAHESH BABU. He is more than an actor, he is such a sincere person and an introvert whose work definitely speak of his amazing capabilities as an actor but he also does his part for his people. He takes initiatives to protect the children of the next generation & encourages others to do so as well.

The amazing ROLE-MODEL, SUPERSTAR PRINCE MAHESH BABU with his T.O.I Best Actor Award

Superstar with his CineMAA Best Actor Award

Superstar receiving his FilmFare Best Actor Award

Superstar & Dookudu Team rocked FilmFare

Ohh A big hearty CONGRATULATIONS to The Superstar & his Wifey Namrata on the birth of their Baby Girl Sitara. May she always be the Morning Star in the lives of the Superstar's Family!!

Six Months & Still A Proud Fan

June 22nd marks my 6 months anniversary as a follower of Princism!! Yay me!! I have been sitting here for a while now trying to decide what to write in my post for my 6 month anniversary and I guess I'm just going to gush about Prince and what an amazing 6 moths this has been. After I found out about Mahesh [via YouTube], I found his most famous fan club page on Facebook: Mahesh Babu Fans [https://www.facebook.com/maheshbabufans]. If you haven't liked their page as yet, then you should because they are the ones who provide me with all the latest updates on Prince Mahesh & his movies. Another that is very reliable, especially for their awesome collection of Superstar's pictures is MaheshBabu_FC [https://www.facebook.com/MaheshBabuFC].I learned about Tollywood because of Mahesh and now I love Tollywood movies. Its awkward because once you've tasted the joy of watching Telugu films, its difficult to spark the desire to watch Bollywood films. Of course all my favorite Tollywood movies are Prince Mahesh's movies.I love each because of his characters. They were all unique and some were quite the risk but he never failed to play them convincingly. But everyone has their favorites and so do I. One of his best characters ever is Surya Bhai in Businessman. It was phenomenal acting by Prince and although some may say that "Its a movie for Mahesh's Fans only",I don't believe so. Yeah I like movies because of the guy who stars in it, I'm a girl I can't help it, but I also like movies with a good plot and good concepts and Businessman had both. He played his negative role so convincingly! I know I shouldn't have been amazed because he is the Superstar but I was completely and utterly amazed through out the entire movie!

I think that Mahesh is the Master of Expression, he's has the ability to portray every emotion possible just by using his eyes. The eyes are the windows to a person soul, or so the saying goes, and when you look into Mahesh's eyes he gives you a view of his character's soul. He, to put it simply, brings his characters alive! Telugu is a pretty awesome language, my knowledge is limited to lines from Mahesh's movies, but I am learning a little everyday thanks to my awesome friends on Facebook & Twitter. One of my favorite line is from Businessman (obviously :P) and its "Surya Bhai ante nenu kadhu, Its a Brand"

Not only did I learn about Tollywood film industry but also bout the culture and the foods, etc in the South. I definitely want to visit India someday, mainly to meet Mahesh Babu but also to explore the beautiful country from where my ancestors came from.

Recently Mahesh won the Best Actor Award at the CineMaa Awards for his role in Dookudu and I cannot think of an actor who deserves that accolade more than the Prince and I'm not being biased because his was truly a stellar performance. He played for different roles, even he has said this is one of his most difficult characters to pull off, and he did each convincingly! The Dookudu Team in general deserves a a round of applause for all their hard worl to deliver not only a blockbuster but a movie that will live in our memories forever. I was elated with joy and happiness when I found out all the accolades Mahesh & the rest of the Dookudu team received. Congratulations to Superstar Mahesh and the cast & crew of Dookudu.

So I highly doubt that Mahesh is ever going to read this but if he does [fingers crossed] then I would like him to know that not only do I admire him as an actor but also because of the kind of individual he is. He is the perfect role model for the youths of this generation. I love how fondly he speaks of his father and how involved, despite his hectic schedule, he is in his son's life. Family is important to him and that's another admirable trait and one that we don't often see in society today. But before I learned about who Mahesh is as an individual, it was his killer smile that made me go crazy over him. I'm a girl, I can't help but go crazy over this:

or this

or this

I'll stop now :D Well this was my 6 month anniversary blog and of course once more I completely gushed about Mahesh but you were forewarned. Its been an amazing 6 months and I wish I had known about him earlier but never late than never.

"The Businessman" has Arrived!

So after a four month long wait for the DVD to be released and then another three days for it to be delivered, I finally got the opportunity to watch The Businessman! Words cannot accurately describe how well Mahesh played his role. His acting and dialogue delivery along with Puri's superb direction and dialogues made it the blockbuster that it turned out to be. No one else can play this role and make it a success because this role was meant only for Superstar Mahesh.
Absolutely loved how the beginning of the movie highlighted both the good and bad sides of Mumbai. Mahesh's entrance was not as extravagant as some of his others but it was perfect for The Businessman. My first thought of him as he made his entrance into the movie was: This is a man on a mission!
The Introduction song was short and sweet! It was so energetic and Prince dance moves were equally energetic! Just watch the video and you can see the determination and dedication that he has towards acting, hence he is The Superstar! We have seen our Prince play negative roles before but none can compare to Surya Bhai. He definitely went the extra mile for this movie and it has paid off very well for him. It was exciting to see him play such a dark role. He was absolutely fantastic, he makes a very convincing Bhai! Surya is a calm but very calculative and manipulative person, one of the reasons he made an awesome Bhai. He gets the job done with just a "snap of his finger", an aspect in the movie that I loved! Surya is a leader, he doesn't ask for respect, he takes it then proves to you that he deserves it! He maintains control of his gang and doesn't break his promises to the people around him that he doesn't want to see suffer at the hands of the rich. Living up to his bad boy role, Surya mixed business with pleasure: yes I am talking about the unbelievable chemistry that he shared with Chitra(Kajal Agarwal). As an actor Mahesh really has opened up over the years and this is evident in his movies, especially the Chandamama song in Businessman.
He carried this movie until the very end. It's quite safe to say that Mahesh completely embraced his Surya Bhai character.
The songs were all amazing, I was listening to them even before I knew what they meant! They are so very catchy. It's very difficult to pick a favorite one but "Sir Osthara" definitely tops the list. It really irritated me when I heard all these anti-Mahesh fans talking about "Pilla Chao" being copied. I'm pretty sure no one knew about the Italian version until some hater went to extensive lengths to try and ruin Mahesh's and the Businessman's image. But nevertheless, Pilla Chao is absolutely fantastic, listen to it once and you'll never stop! I love how Mahesh taunted Kajal in the song, it's a very nice side of Prince that Puri decided to explore in the filming of this song.
Sir Ostahra was quite the treat and Prince did show off some dance moves. He was dressed quite dashing in this song but then again he's always a dashing man! I felt it was a bit awkward that some parts were censored when others weren't. The movie was a clean movie, I have seen movies with worse language than Businessman and they weren't censored. But nevertheless, the song and the entire movie turned out to be a blockbuster! "We love Bad Boys" is a favorite song, mainly because of Prince Mahesh's dance! I think it was very creative of the choreographer to take his clothes and some simple dance moves to create an absolutely fantastic dance. I must confess, whenever I watch the video for this song, I always go back to the part where Prince is dancing, because he was pretty good at it!
I cannot find words to describe how I felt when I saw the intermission for this movie. I honestly cried, but not because of what Mahesh said but because of his expression. Mahesh is a very expressive actor and that trait played to his advantage throughout this entire movie. His expression speaks volumes, all the emotions that could not be said in words were felt just by looking at Mahesh.
Chandamama is such a seductive song! Never knew Mahesh can be such a romantic! Although Prakash Raj's role was somewhat muted in the movie, he was an important character. The ending of Businessman was epic! I loved when Surya was asked why did you come to a fight without any weapons?, his response was similar to one of those punch replies that Mahesh is so famous for; he simply said "I'll use the ones you brought". To sum it all up Mahesh Babu or rather Surya Bhai is a modern day Robin Hood with a mission. A Robin Hood who is tired with the way society lives, especially the rich and Surya decides he's going to be the one to change the ways of our twisted society! If only a Surya Bhai really existed, this world will really be different. But Mahesh's character taught me to never judge a book by a cover, Surya Bhai is not the man we think he is, there's a reason for everything he does. Thank you Puri Sir for an amazing movie, with a beautiful plot, Thank you Thaman Sir for some of the most amazing Telugu songs that I have ever heard (especially Sir Osthara)and of course Thank you Superstar Mahesh for accepting this role and bringing Surya Bhai alive! Yes I know I gushed about Mahesh throughout this entire post but words cannot describe how much I love him as Surya Bhai, the wait for this DVD was definitely worth it!! Sir Osthara
We Love, love Bad Boys ;)

100 Days: Proud to be a Fan

Today, I am proud to call myself a Prince fan because today, April 21st,2012 Businessman celebrated 100 Days of running successfully in three movie theaters. This success comes right after, Superstar Mahesh success with Dookudu.Once again our Prince has delivered back to back hits and his fans are elated! Unfortunately, this Caribbean Girl is yet to see Mahesh's new movie Businessman. I have been waiting ever so patiently for the release of the DVD (needed English subtitles) but the dates keeps on getting pushed back!! But, it's a Mahesh movie so I don't mind the wait because he is always worth the wait. Its at times like these that I hate the fact that I can't speak Telugu. I have seen the trailers, yes every single one of them, and I have got to say: Surya Bhai has got to be one of Superstar Mahesh's best characterization to date!Mahesh has played numerous roles over the course of his career and he completely embraces the characters, its as if he lived the role of his characters. He made them believable. But as Surya Bhai, Prince has outdone himself! I was amazed at how much of a negative role his character played, but judging from the trailers, he did an excellent job at portraying himself as The Businessman. So many dates are floating around as to the release date of this, in my opinion, blockbuster in Mahesh's career but I'm hoping that I can get my hands on the original DVD before my birthday! That's all I asked my parents for on my 19th birthday, an original copy of Mahesh Babu's Businessman DVD.

Thus My PrinceMania Began

I continued my research on this first class actor and he led me to a whole new world, a world called Tollywood. I recently read in an article that one of the reasons he wants to act only in Telugu movies is to promote the Tollywood Film Industry and make it more well known in the world; Prince you are well on your way to doing just that! I grew up knowing about Bollywood, completely oblivious to the fact that this was not the only film industry in India. Mahesh’s movies have taught me not only about this other film industry, with a vast variety of talent, but also about South India. As I got more into my research about him, I noticed that his fans fondly referred to him as Prince and Superstar. At first it confused me as to why they gave him these names but the more I learned about him and the more I watched him act, the more I understood why he is known as Superstar Prince Mahesh Babu. I myself constantly refer to him as Prince, a very fitting title for Mahesh. I have only been a fan for approximately five months now but I have seen almost half of his ovies and own them on DVD. He is a natural when it comes to acting. I love the way he completely embodies the character’s role and has the audience completely convinced that the character has come alive! It never ceases to amaze me how much he improves and progresses as an actor in each new film that he does. I really wish that his earlier movies, especially his debut movie was available with english subtitles but you don’t need subtitles to know that at the beginning of his career as a lead actor, that Mahesh was headed straight to stardom! I was completely and utterly surprised to find out that his father was also Superstar in Tollywood and that Mahesh grew up around this stardom; that was because of the manner in which he carries himself in the industry. If you don’t know who he is, then you wouldn’t be able to guess that this is Tollywood’s number one actor or that he’s a Superstar! I admire his simplicity and his humbleness. Those are traits that are rarely found in people of his status. I see him not only as a great actor but also as a role model. I would hope that I can emulate these qualities because he’s the kind of person who always encourages his colleagues and his co-stars when they take on new ventures and he also respect other’s works and the efforts they put into a project; especially when it comes to his movies. I have never heard him take credit for a movie’s success, the credit always goes to the entire team who made the production possible.

My First Mahesh Experience

No I don’t speak Telugu. No I’m not Indian. Yes I am a huge Mahesh Babu fan! People seem to find it quite fascinating that a Caribbean girl is such a huge fan of Tollywood’s number one Superstar Prince Mahesh Babu and the first question they all ask is: How did you find out about him?! Well here’s the not so exciting yet life changing story... I was on winter break from college, bored out of my mind, browsing YouTube when I came across a movie titled “Sainikudu”. Like any girl would do, I googled the movie and the lead actor: my first reaction was “wow he’s hot, I’ll watch the movie” and I did watch the movie. Storyline for the movie was beautiful (never understood why it was considered a flop) but that wasn’t what caught my attention, it was the acting capability of the very handsome actor! He was just simply superb and I enjoyed every moment of the film. His dialogue delivery had me mind blown! Thus began, what my mother calls, my obsession with Prince Mahesh Babu.
