Brahmotsavam

I have been away for sometime now and for that I apologize. I recently fulfilled one of my items on my bucket list, I had the opportunity to watch a Mahesh movie in theaters and it was an amazing experience. I sat in the movie theater watching Mahesh do what he does best on the big screen, all while I "fan-girled" like a child on Christmas morning! Brahmotsavam is definitely different than Mahesh's usual movies, less masala as some would say. In my opinion, it was a beautiful movie; one about family, love, respect, relationships, understanding and most importantly the celebration of life! There are quite a number of people who will most likely disagree with this but to each his own. I respect and admire Mahesh for taking risks with his movie selection and expanding his horizons because he is an amazing and talented actor who can achieve anything he sets out to do! Yes that goes for Brahmotsavam as well; the haters can talk trash about the movie but not about Mahesh. His acting spoke volumes and his dialogue delivery in two key scenes drove me to tears. Mahesh Babu, Sir, we love you and know that you will always deliver your best. Keep on being you, Superstar. Xoxo, Shari

Another Award for a Deserving Actor

A huge Congratulations to Mahesh Babu on winning the South Indian International Movie Award (SIIMA) for Best Actor for the movie Seethama Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.  The award truly went to a deserving actor. SVSC was a landmark movie in the Telugu industry since it was the first Multistarrer and Mahesh played his part, as he always does, to the best of his ability. May God continue to shower his blessings on you and continue to put your best foot forward (like you always do anyways).I cannot wait to see what the future holds for you and may there be lots and lots of awards because your fans will always be here for you.

Not a Happy Fan

So I'm practically on the verge of tears here, it's so disappointing that Aagadu is finally being released with English subtitles but I cannot watch it because the closest theater is a nine hour drive away from me. It's frustrating being a non-Telugu,  non-Indian fan of Mahesh Babu. I love his acting and him as a human being but the fact that I can't share in the joy in seeing his movies when they're released is disheartening. I still haven't seen 1 Nenokkadine because the DVD is yet to be released. I will forever love Mahesh because he's made an impact in my life but to see that little effort is being made to facilitate his non-Telugu fans just hurts. I hope that producers and those in charge of marketing his future movies realize that there is a fan base beyond South India. Still holding hope that one day I will be able to watch his movie in theater with other fans.

Happy!!

So yesterday, after a long day at work and school, I came home to the best surprise ever! My Aagadu CD had arrived! I'm still channeling that happiness and hope that everyone has a great day! It came! It came!  I am now proud owner of his last four films' Audio :) Now let's just cross our fingers and hope that I and other non-Telugu fans get to watch Aagadu in theaters with English subtitles!  :)

An extremely disappointed Fan

So for the past 7-8 months I have been patiently awaiting the release of 1 Nenokkadine DVD but alas today I still find my self waiting... I refuse to watch the pirated versions and since I know very little Telugu I could not watch it in movie theater. It's sad that those in charge of releasing the DVD is depriving Mahesh's non-Telugu or even his Telugu fans of one of what is said to be one of the greatest movies of his career. So a note to those in charge, be it 14 Reels or Ram Achanta or Anil Sunkara,  please could you be so kind as to not deprive us any further and please release the DVD. Thank you.

Happy Birthday Superstar Mahesh ♡

A very Happy Birthday to my favorite Telugu actor, a classy gentleman and a talented actor,  Mahesh Babu! Wishing him the best the day has to offer and may love and happiness surround him in the years to come. So as we all know, a new teaser for his upcoming movie, Aagadu, was released in honor of Superstar Mahesh's birthday, the link to the teaser is available below. You must watch it! We all know I don't know a whole lot of Telugu except for a few phrases, so I had no idea what he was saying in the teaser but his voice is so beautiful! Plus you get the gist of the jokes by his expression,  yeah he's that good an actor! Enjoy the teaser and the pictures that I will now flood this post with.
